Lucifer is on his way back home to Heaven while Crowley tells Sam and Dean that he's got a plan to take down Amara. We're getting back to the main storyline in tonight's episode after a short break so here's what went down.

Crowley's now got himself a weapon and gives his buddy a call. Yes, I'm talking about Dean. Dean's worried that maybe Lucifer's making Crowley call Dean, but why would Lucifer tell Dean of the exact plan that could lead to his demise? Looks like the Winchester-Crowley team up is back in action.

Team Crowley, Moose, and Squirrel. Crowley meets with the boys and says that he's got the Horn of Joshua. They know he wants something in return, and that something is to help him expel Lucifer from Cas' body and put him back into the cage. Problem is, they need the Book of the Damned, which Rowena hid, and Crowley believes that his mother is now dead rotting somewhere, so they'll have to think of something else... or find the book.

Only Lucifer can use the Horn, so it's pretty much Crowley's plan or no plan and he's telling them so, but then Rowena sends them a sign and they know that she's alive and they need her help.
Lucifer's home! Well, his original original home. He's back in Heaven and he has no hesitation in killing angels. And then he has a group meeting with everyone, because he can. He tells them that his goal is to get rid of Amara, and once he does, he wants to stay around. Oh, and if it makes them comfortable, they can call him God, how sweet. So, Lucifer's running Heaven and while he is, Amara sends a small storm into Heaven to make herself heard.

The fire dies down and Lucifer's able to use his magic. He gets a hold of the Horn and begins to hurt the Winchester brothers, but then Amara crashes the party. Everyone's here now! Amara found her way there by tracking Rowena and he uses the Hand of God on Amara. The thing is, it didn't work, at all. She allows the Winchesters to be able to move and then takes Lucifer with her and leaves.
Back to Square One. Dean speculates that if the Hand of God needs to be used by God's chosen, then maybe an archangel that got kicked out doesn't qualify. Either way, it's back to the drawing board. Sam is about to apologize for what he said about letting Cas do what he chose to when Dean cuts him off and says that that's the policy they agreed to. When someone makes a choice, they have to stand by them and let them live out that choice. So, they'll go "get the idiot back."
Hello, God? It's me, Amara. Amara, although she continues to slam Lucifer into the wall, thinks that he'll be of use to her. She thinks that he may be the one thing that'll make God show himself. And then, of course, she'll allow him to see the destruction of all creation. So, it's torture followed by torture and even more torture until God decides to show his face.
On April 27, Supernatural returns with Sam and Dean taking on another case, this one dealing with human-like alien creatures. As for tonight's episode, I really enjoyed that we got back to the main storyline of this season and thought that Misha Collins was phenomenal. Definitely a good episode.
Supernatural returns on April 27 at 9/8c on The CW.
