Arrow - "Guilty" (3x06) Recap

Did Roy Harper really do it? That's the question everyone was wondering and hoping to find out through this episode. If you haven't watched this weeks episode, spoilers are ahead. You've been warned.

I love the fact that Oliver was worried about Roy in the episode. He doesn't want him to get hurt by going into something feeling off and unrested.

Laurel is definitely getting stronger and stronger with every episode. Also, side-note, the picture that was released of her as the Black Canary looks so great, I can't wait to finally see her as the character on the show. However, her trainer Ted... seems like he's got a few secrets of his own. Turns out he was once a vigilante himself, and he had a partner, Isaac, who is now framing him for murder. I dislike the fact that Laurel refused to trust Oliver's suspicion of him, whether it was right or wrong. He was just trying to warn her and tell her to be careful. He cares about her. He's trying to protect her.  Ted actually wasn't a bad guy and it was nice that he actually told Laurel the truth instead of lying to her, again.

Oliver's little touch when he was fighting Ted of sticking the arrow in a punching glove and shooting Ted in the face was nice. I enjoyed that scene.

I love that we're getting more scenes with Roy and Felicity. Since Roy has become a part of Team Arrow, we haven't really seen any one on one scenes between them, so I love seeing their friendship. Roy was struggling so much with his dreams and not being able to remember it clearly and Felicity was there for him and I love that. He was losing sleep over this and she wanted to help him every way she possibly could.

I really like the parallel between Oliver when he was in Hong Kong and how Roy is feeling now. They both couldn't remember things clearly and they were trying their best to. Roy dreamt of memories he couldn't actually remember himself, and Oliver was trying to remember what he saw for Maseo.

Roy was struggling so much with the entire situation and felt they had a right to know what was going on. I feel so bad that Roy was thrown into this. Oliver wanted to make sure Felicity was 100% sure that what Roy was saying was true, because you could tell that he felt sorry for Roy and what he was going through. I wanted Diggle to stand up for Roy, not stand against him, but that didn't go the way I would have liked. Oliver feels guilty because he brought Roy into everything, but Diggle  thinks that in order to reach justice for Sara, Roy needs to be cut free from Team Arrow.

Contrary to all the information we were given, Oliver used the same process the woman in Hong Kong, Tatsu, used on him to help him remember. And after that was done, we got our true verdict. So the answer to the opening question is no, it wasn't Roy. However, he did kill someone in the past, a police officer, when he was drugged with mirakuru. Oliver and Sara never told him that they had seen him because they knew it would have an impact on him even though it wasn't actually him.

Despite everything what was being said to him by Laurel and Diggle, it was Roy who saved Laurel and Ted's lives. The last thing Roy wanted was to be abandoned by Oliver, and the fact that Oliver said he never would, makes me so happy because he believes in Roy. He believes he's good and that what he's going through can be helped. He has faith in him. He's going to help him.

And the ending, well it ended with Cupid showing up and freeing Isaac.

Favorite Quotes:
Roy: "Don't abandon me."
Oliver: "Never."

Oliver: "Do you trust me?"
Roy: "Always."

Oliver as the Arrow: "Ted, you're mistake wasn't cutting him loose. It was losing faith in him."

The promo for next week looks great, so we'll see what exactly Cupid's up to next week.
