The Flash (Episode 1x12) Recap

I have to say, I honestly look forward to writing up blog posts like these every week, and it tends to make the days go by just a bit faster than they normally do. Tonight's episode of The Flash looked like an entertaining one from the promo, and it definitely was.

I love scenes with Barry & Joe or Barry & Henry. I particularly loved the line "It's movie night with Joe." I love that Barry and Joe have 'family' movie nights, and a few scenes later, when Barry got to see his dad again, this time face-to-face, it made my heart swell with joy. It was essentially a scene with Barry and his two dads, and they are just such a great part of the show. The last scene with Barry and Henry actually had me in tears. Henry has that gut feeling that his son is the Flash, and is waiting for him to be ready to tell him, but spoke directly to him when he was saying what he would tell the Flash. I love the family dynamic there. The relationships are formed so well.

I also love the Hartley (Pied Piper) and Cisco thing going on. Cisco knew that he most likely did have information on Firestorm, but he was smart enough to be prepared in case he pulled anything, and of course he did, but Hartley outsmarted him just a tad bit more later on and was able to get away. Good news about this? We get to see him more in the future. Also, I love how understanding Caitlin was when Cisco told her what actually happened that night with Ronnie.

Caitlin Snow and Barry Allen. These two are so cute. Their scene had me feeling so many happy emotions. First he notices her lip biting whenever something's bothering her, then the "We are quite quite the pair, Mr. Allen." And the "Yes, we are, Dr. Snow." Their relationship was so strong this episode. From scoping out the bars together, to his face seeing her in that dress, to them singing karaoke together (and Grant finally singing on the show!). I was loving every second. Also, Caitlin is so cute, even when she's drunk and singing terribly. And then him staying with her and taking care of her and tucking her into bed. So many happy things. These two.

Peek-A-Boo (Shauna) has the power of teleporting, something I think would be awesome to have, but the issue is that she must see in order to teleport. She wasn't my favorite metahuman we've met, but I liked her character. Since she was locked away in Star Labs at the end, I'm assuming we may possibly see her again in the future.

Next week seems like a Firestorm episode and I can't wait to see more of him. I really loved today's episode, the father-son dynamic was strong, Snowbarry was strong, and it was an all-around good episode. We'll see what Firestorm brings next week!
