Another Tuesday night of television! I was very excited for tonight's episode, especially with the introduction of the Pied Piper, played by Andy Mientus. It looked like it would be a good one and I did enjoy it.
The character of the Pied Piper was someone very interesting. He was Wells' favorite. I love that Joe senses that something is off about Wells. He knows something is off about Wells, and he's not afraid to tell Barry that he doesn't think he should trust him as much as he does. I also like the fact that Joe is investigating Wells, because he want stop be sure he's not someone who will hurt Barry. Then you throw the Pied Piper who says Wells has a secret into a mix... that's when things get tricky. Whether the secret Wells claimed to be talking about was the one he was talking about, I don't know if I believe.
I really love the character. He's someone that I want to see more of. I also want to know what that secret he was talking about was, since I said above I don't necessarily think the one Wells told was the actual one. He seems to have a very interesting past and I want to learn more about that. It also seems like his villainous quality is rooted in revenge on Wells for firing him.
Iris got a new job, but it seems like she was only hired for her knowledge on the Flash. She also doesn't seem to be entirely happy with it. Her mentor, someone she admires, told her she's worthless and talentless, and that's something no one should ever have said to them, so I hope she proves him that he's completely wrong soon. She's sure of herself and knows how to get her answers.
This was also the first episode we actually saw Wells using his powers without the suit, which is something I found interesting. I think we're definitely getting closer to the team finding out who Wells really is, especially since they're giving the viewer more insight to him. There's also something that happens with his legs when he uses his speed, so I think there's definitely something that's happened in the past to have caused that.
The Pied Piper does say he knows about Ronnie Raymond, about everything that's happened with him, so whether Cisco lets him out because of that will be interesting. I'm looking forward to what he has to say.
It wasn't as big of a revealing episode, but it did introduce the Pied Piper. I enjoyed it. There's not much to form theories or predictions on this week, so right now, it's more of just looking forward to what's to come. Next week is Barry's date episode, which I'm excited to see, so we shall see just how well that date goes!
